Chairman’s Annual Report
I wish to thank all the councillors for their time in attending all the meetings and to the clerk for keeping us informed and compliant. I would like to thank Peter Bedford and Dale Broughton for keeping us up to date with matters at Boston Borough Council including events and news. I would also like to thank Paul Skinner for his support and his link to Lincolnshire County Council. Although we will not have him to support us moving forward, we will wait to see how we are supported in the future with our new representative, Alistair Arundell. As a Parish Council we have had a reasonably quiet year, however we have continued to improve the park facility with the installation of a new footbridge and in the next few weeks there will be works starting to improve the car park and resurface the footpath. We continue to provide the litter pickers for the village and support local clubs and organisations and we also had a very successful VE Day celebration event recently. We have been able to continue to deliver this service whilst keeping the precept at the same level it has been for the last 3 or 4 years.
Butterwick Village Hall Committee Annual Report
The village hall has had a good year with booking increasing and everything still running smoothly albeit with a very small committee and there is a new bookings clerk who is very efficient. There are no major project in sight at the present time as the hall has been refurbished over the last few years.

To receive a report from the 10th Boston Scouts
Thanks were given for the generous donation which is put towards the equipment insurance and to insure the helpers for public liability. The groups consist of 3 sections: Beavers who meet on Thursdays and are aged 5 ¾ to 8 years old and have a programme which they follow with 3 x leaders and have camping events at which they have lots of fun. The highest award which they all work towards is the Chief Scout Bronze award and they follow that through all different awards. The next age group is the Cubs who are aged 8 to 10 ½ years old and have a programme to work towards with their 3 leaders and the top award is the Chief Scout Silver award. The oldest group is the Scouts aged 10 to 14 years old, they have 2 leaders and their top award is the Chief Scout Gold award. The scouts complete lots of camping and outdoor adventure events. There are also 2 young leaders who work towards a Young Leaders belt. The groups meet at the Beonna and try to do community events and projects and are always interested in getting involved, learning and getting involved.
