MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 11TH AUGUST 2020

Public Forum
There were no members of the public in attendance for the public forum.


2020/39     Apologies
The Parish Clerk advised that apologies for absence (with acceptable reasons) had been received from Cllr M Knowles.
It was proposed, seconded and
RESOLVED: that the Council note the absences of Cllr M Knowles and approve the reasons given.


2020/40    Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, and to consider any requests for dispensations.
There were no declarations received


2020/41    Police Matters
The following incidents had been reported to the clerk in the absence of PCSO Baker:

8 incidents of Anti-Social behaviour-(2) Church Road, (2) Prince William Drive, (2) Girls School Lane, Brand End Road and Peter Paine Close.

1 incident of criminal damage - School Lane.

1 incident of violence - Sea Lane.

1 fraud/forgery incident - Centenary Close.

1 transport hazard - Sea Lane. 6 concern for safety incidents - Watery Lane, School Lane, (2) Upsall Road, Peter Paine Close and Butterwick pullover.

1 wildlife incident - Broughton’s Lane.

2 suspicious circumstances - Sea Lane and Wiers Lane.

2 road traffic collisions - Benington Road and Main A52.


2020/42     Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was proposed, seconded and
RESOLVED: that the notes of the meeting held 10th March 2020 be approved as a correct record of the meeting and be signed by the Chairman


2020/43   Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council

2020/44   Accounts for payment/Finance

2020/45 To Resolve to Hold Meetings via the Most Appropriate Method during Covid – 19 Restrictions
This was fully discussed and all options considered and it was proposed and
RESOLVED: that face-to-face meetings would continue with adherence to social distancing measures and the wearing of face masks until otherwise informed.


2020/46  Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda
It was reported that a streetlight on Brand End Road continued to be obscured by a tree in the resident’s garden. The clerk confirmed she would send a polite letter to the resident asking for the tree to be pruned.
It was also reported that the gas valve cabinet in the Village Hall grounds had been vandalised and there had been issues with teenagers gathering on the grounds. It was also reported that the footpath between the Post Office and Broughtons Lane was unsafe, the clerk confirmed she would discuss this with Lincolnshire Highways Department.


2020/47  Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 8th September 2020 beginning at 7.30pm.

There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed at 8.10 pm.
