MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY, 14th MAY 2019 AT 7.30 pm

COUNCILLORS ALL SIGNED THE DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
1 NO APOLOGIES
2 ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
Councillor Forman proposed, Councillor Donnelley seconded and it was unanimously agreed that Councillor Gosling be re-elected.
3 DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Councillor Gosling duly signed the declaration of acceptance for the office of Chairman.
4 ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN
Councillor Forman proposed, Councillor Pearson seconded, and it was unanimously agreed that Councillor Knowles be elected.
5 MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING held on the 8th May 2018 having been previously circulated were agreed and signed by the Chairman as a true record.
6 ADOPTION OF THE ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ended 31st March 2019
The accounts for the financial year 2018/2019 had formally been approved at the April Parish Council meeting and were presented to the meeting. These were proposed and signed by Councillor Gosling, seconded and signed by Councillor Knowles and accepted. They showed a balance of £767.20 of payments over receipts.
7 APPOINTMENT OF A HIGHWAYS LIAISON OFFICER
Councillor Gosling proposed, Councillor Donnelley seconded, and it was unanimously agreed that Councillor Quickfall be re-elected.
8 APPOINTMENT OF A PARISH COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE ON THE VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Councillor Knowles proposed, Councillor Gosling seconded, and it was unanimously agreed that Councillor Donnelley be elected.
9 STANDING ORDERS
It was noted that the last review and approval had been on the 9th April 2019 and these were adopted.
10 FINANCIAL REGULATIONS
It was noted that the last review and approval had been on the 12th March 2019 and these were adopted.
11 ASSET REGISTER
No further assets had been purchased during the year, the figure still being £4,229.00
12 RISK ASSESSMENT AND INSURANCE COVER
The council had looked at and assessed all risks at the meeting held on the 9th April 2019 and agreed that no further cover was required.
13 CHAIRMAN’S REPORT given by Councillor Gosling
My report for this year is very similar to last year and the year before, the past year has been relatively uneventful.
We have continued to meet every month and I thank all councillors for their time and effort throughout the year special thanks to Joan our clerk not only for her guidance during meetings but also the preparation and planning between meetings.
