  MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON
                                                             TUESDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2026
 
Present: Chairman: A Gosling
Councillor:  C Gosling, C Smith, L Pearson, J Barton 
 
Also present Mrs C Anderton – Clerk of the Council
 
 
Public Forum
There were  no members of the public in attendance.
 
The Chairman confirmed that he and the clerk had both received a letter of resignation from Mrs A Quickfall. 
 
2026/12    Apologies
Apologies were received prior to the meeting from Cllr D Broughton and from Cllr P Bedford during the meeting. 
 
2026/13   Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
 
2026/14   Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 15 January 2026 be approved and signed by the Chairman. 
 
2026/15  Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council 
Cllr Broughton provided a written report via email to all councillors.
 
2026/16   Butterwick Park 
There were no issues to report relating to the park however, the Chairman confirmed a member of the parish had posted on social media that she had been attempting to contact the Parish Council in order to raise a query regarding disability play equipment. The clerk confirmed she would send a letter inviting the resident to either call or to attend the next meeting.
 
2026/17 Bus Provision through the village.
The clerk shared a communication she had received from Alistair Dunning, Senior Operations Officer at Lincolnshire County Council stating that any issues with the Call Connect app should have now been resolved. Cllr Pearson stated that the app had been fine however, it was the availability of transport that was an issue. The clerk confirmed she would feed this information back and ask how many vehicles Call Connect utilise for the Lincolnshire area and if the timetable could be reviewed to avoid both Brylaine and Stagecoach completing the same route at the same time.
 
2026/18  To discuss the provision of a replacement defibrillator
The clerk stated that the defibrillator pads were no longer available and had obtained a quotation for a replacement unit. Members agreed it needed replacing however, it was unclear if the unit could be located externally and the clerk said she would gain clarification. Members RESOLVED to replace the unit if it could be located in the external cabinet.
 
 
2026/19 Councillor vacancy
The clerk confirmed she had informed Boston Borough Council and had posted a vacancy notice on the noticeboard.
 
2026/20 Update from Parish Council Liaison meeting
Inspector Cotton had confirmed that the neighbourhood PCSO would be reinstated for the coastal villages shortly. Boston Borough Council presented their proposal for the County’s planned devolution and confirmed that the Government would be sending the 4 proposals out for consultation with a view to select the successful proposal by the summer recess. The next meeting was pencilled in for June when it was hoped there would be a further update to progress on a decision. 
 
2026/21 To review the Complaints, Grant Awarding & Grievance policies.
Members received copies of the policies and agreed there were no changes necessary. 
 
2026/22  Finance 
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 02/2026.
 
2026/23   Matters to be added to the next agenda.
There were no matters to be added.
 
2026/24  Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 10 March 2026. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
