MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON
TUESDAY 11th AUGUST 2026
Present: Chairman: A Gosling
Councillor: C Gosling, L Pearson, C Smith, J Barton, C Payne, C Cordy
Also present Mrs C Anderton – Clerk of the Council
Public Forum
1 member of the public attended to report on issues which he had raised at the June meeting. The member of the public also wish to bring members attention to trees overhanging the footpath and house roofs on Peter Paine Close.
2026/78 Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr P Bedford and Cllr D Broughton.
2026/79 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2026/80 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 14 July 2026 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2026/81 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr D Broughton had provided a report regarding matters at the Borough to all Councillors via email
2026/82 Butterwick Park
The clerk confirmed that she had received the contact details immediately prior to the meeting and would be phoning to invite the representative from The Hope Charity to attend the next meeting.
2026/83 Community Skip
The clerk reported that Boston Borough Council had offered a community skip to be placed in the village for one day, between 8am and 1pm, in November. Members discussed this and agreed that the park car park would be a suitable place and RESOLVED to participate in this initiative.
2026/84 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 07/2026.
2026/85 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
Cllr Barton asked if a matter could be added to discuss hosting a Christmas party for the children in the village.
2026/86 Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 8 September 2026. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
