MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON
TUESDAY 9th JUNE 2026

Also present Mrs C Anderton – Clerk of the Council
Public Forum
3 members of the public were in attendance to raise the topic of inclusive play equipment and speeding throughout the village.
2026/60 Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr L Pearson, Cllr P Bedford and Cllr D Broughton.
2026/61 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2026/62 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 12 May 2026 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2026/63 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
There were no reports received.
2026/64 Butterwick Park
The Chairman requested the clerk to invite the representative from the Local Hope charity to the next meeting to discuss inclusive play equipment.
The clerk reported that she was still awaiting the contractors quote for the car park entrance repairs.
2026/65 Footway lighting replacement
It was RESOLVED to have the following footway lighting replaced:
S/L 9 School Lane – damaged column
S/L 5 Church Road – faulty old Sox lantern
S/L 2 Homers Lane - faulty old Sox lantern
S/L 11 School Lane - faulty old Sox lantern
S/L 12 School Lane (outside school) - faulty old Sox lantern
2026/66 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 06/2026.
It was RESOLVED for the clerk to purchase a new computer and to go ahead with the Wi-Fi provision as discussed in a previous meeting.
2026/67 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
Members of the council discussed the issue of speeding through parts of the village and asked if Cllr Arundell could be made aware and to request if Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership could possibly attend at various locations.
2026/68 Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 14 July 2026. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
