MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON
TUESDAY 14 APRIL 2026

There were no items for the public forum.
2026/36 Apologies
There were no apologies received.
2026/37 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2026/38 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 10 March 2026 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2026/39 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr Broughton provided a verbal report updating members of the council on Boston Borough Council matters.
2026/40 Butterwick Park
The Chairman stated that there were potholes appearing in the car park entrance and asked if the clerk could contact the contractors to obtain a quote to repair them. The Chairman also asked for some ‘No Fly Tipping’ signs to be obtained as he had witnessed garden waste being left behind the hedge on the playing field. Cllr Gosling reported the catch on the gate at the play equipment area was broken, the Chairman confirmed he would investigate it.
2026/41 Bus Provision through the village.
The clerk confirmed that she had still not received any communication from Lincolnshire CC regarding her email however, she would continue to chase up on this. Cllr Pearson reported that a digital bus sign had now been installed.
2026/42 Footway lighting replacement – No1 Girls School Lane
The contractors had reported the light as being broken and as it was an old SOX type lantern it could not be replaced and therefore would require a LED lamp. Members of the council RESOLVED to replace the light.
2026/43 To discuss the Village Hall CCTV grant request
Members noted that the CCTV system had been installed and asked for further details on accessibility, servicing and monitoring. Cllr Barton stated she would ask for information relating to those matters raised.
2026/44 Finance
I. It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 04/2026.
II. It was proposed, seconded and RESOLVED to authorise signing of the AGAR 2025/26 (Annual Governance Statement)
III. It was proposed, seconded and RESOLVED to authorise signing of the AGAR 2025/26 (Accounting Statements)
2026/45 Matters to be added to the next agenda.
Village Hall CCTV Grant request
2026/46 Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 12 May 2026. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
