MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON
TUESDAY 14 JANUARY 2025

Public Forum
There were no matters for the public forum.
2025/01 Apologies
Apologies were received prior to the meeting from Cllr K Forman, Cllr P Bedford and Cllr D Broughton.
2025/02 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2025/03 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 10 December 2025 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2025/04 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Skinner provided a verbal report regarding matters at Lincolnshire CC.
2025/05 Butterwick Park
The Chairman confirmed that he had looked at the worn paint and it was wearing at the areas which attracted the most use however he stated this would be an issue which would be difficult to overcome due to wear and tear, but he would monitor the situation. There was also a tree which had fallen in the storm and arrangements were being made to remove it.
The poor surfacing on the pathway around and under the trees was discussed and it was agreed to obtain a quote to resurface it.
2025/06 Bus Provision through the village
The clerk confirmed that a meeting with a Highways Officer had been cancelled as there had been issues due to storm damage elsewhere in the county. The clerk was waiting for confirmation of dates for a further meeting to be arranged.
2025/07 Finance and Precept
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 01/2025.
Details for the budget for the 2025/26 financial year had been circulated prior to the meeting and it was agreed that the council had sufficient funds in reserve. Members RESOLVED for the precept to remain at £30,000.00
2025/08 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
An issue regarding the amount of dog fouling on the pavements through the village was raised, however it was noted that dog litter bins had been provided and signage had been displayed. Members also acknowledged that unfortunately, it was difficult for enforcement to be carried out unless it happened at the time when officers could be in the area
2025/09 Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 11 February 2025. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
