MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 08 APRIL 2025

Public Forum
There were no matters for the public forum.
2025/30 Apologies
Apologies were received prior to the meeting from Cllr C Gosling, Cllr L Pearson and Cllr D Broughton.
2025/31 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2025/32 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 11 March 2025 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2025/33 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Bedford gave a verbal update on matters at Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Skinner provided a verbal report regarding matters at Lincolnshire CC.
Cllr D Broughton provided a written which was read to members by the Chairman
2025/34 Butterwick Park
The clerk confirmed that resurfacing of the footpath would begin in mid-May
2025/35 Bus Provision through the village
The clerk confirmed that a Road Safety Audit had been requested on the proposed locations.
2025/36 VE Day 80th Anniversary
Members confirmed that arrangements had been made with the Five Bells to provide a bar and the afternoon tea buffet in a 1940’s and modern style with music from the 1940’s, bunting and various other decorations. Tickets were on sale in the Five Bells and the Butterwick Stores and the event would run from 2pm – 4pm on 5th May 2025
2025/37 Finance
It was RESOLVED to set a budget of £1000 for the VE day anniversary event
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 04/2025.
2025/38 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
The clerk confirmed that Cllr L Pearson had received a complaint regarding the row of overflowing bins which had been left in the cemetery, Cllr Quickfall stated she would ask Richard Parish to remove them. Cllr Quickfall reported that the kissing gate on the public footpath entrance to the cemetery needed repairing.
2025/39 Date of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 13 May 2025 following the Annual Parish meeting which was to be held at 7pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
