MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 11 JANUARY 2022

Public Forum

There were items for the public forum

2022/01     Apologies

The clerk had misunderstood a message from Mr P Bedford, Boston Borough Council who she believed had provided his apologies, subsequent to the meeting the Clerk was informed that he had been available to attend.

2022/02     Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.

There were no interests declared.

2022/03   Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting

It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 14 December 2021 be approved and signed by the Chairman.

2022/04   Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council 

Mr P Skinner, Lincolnshire County Council provided a verbal report to the council.

2022/05 Issues relating to the environment of the Parish

Traffic issues

Cllr Pearson reported an issue with a lorry which had recently been parking on Brand End Road. Due to its position, it occasionally caused an obstruction for passing traffic if a vehicle was parked on the opposite side of the road. Cllr Knowles confirmed that he had spoken to the transport company regarding the matter however, although the cab was still being parked on the road occasionally it was predominantly on the owner’s driveway. 

Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Cllr Knowles confirmed that arrangements had been made for the ‘Hog Roast’ to be served at 1pm on Sunday 5th June and that an application had been made to close the road from 12 noon until 8pm.

2022/06  Precept

The clerk had presented the budget figures to date with the forecast for the remaining Financial Year in December to allow time for Councillors to review the recommendations. 

It was RESOLVED to keep the precept at the current level of £30,000.

2022/07 Finance

It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 01/2022.

2022/08  Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda

There were no other matters to discuss however it was agreed to add an item for the Queens Jubilee Event to the next agenda.

2022/09  Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting

Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 8 February 2022 beginning at 7.30pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed at 8.05 pm.
