MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 11 OCTOBER 2022

Public Forum

There were no items for the public forum

2022/79     Apologies

There were no apologies received.

2022/80     Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.

There were no interests declared.

2022/81   Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting

It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 16 August 2022 be approved and signed by the Chairman.

2022/82   Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council 

Cllr Paul Skinner and Cllr Peter Bedford gave verbal reports to the council.

2022/83 Issues relating to the environment of the Parish

Provision of a dog waste bin   

Cllr P Bedford confirmed Boston Borough Council could provide the bin and advised the clerk to forward the location to him whereby he would follow up on arranging for the installation. Members of the council agreed to look at other areas which could also benefit from this and would report these at the next meeting. The clerk confirmed she would inform Cllr Bedford once she had received all the locations. 

Update on grounds at the BT hub

Cllr Donnelly confirmed that the area had still not been cleared. The clerk confirmed she would chase BT.

2022/ 84  Provision of Benches Around the Village

Council discussed various options regarding the siting of the bench in the Village Hall car park and agreed to look at the location after the meeting had concluded and report back at the next meeting. The clerk confirmed she would source further brochures and price lists so members could have a range of options to choose from.

2022/85  To adopt the updated Members and Co-opted Members Code of Conduct

Members of the Council all received a copy of the new updated policy. It was proposed, seconded and RESOLVED to accept the new policy 

2022/86  Finance

It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 10/2022.

2022/87   Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda

The Chairman stated that an email had been received from a resident in the village highlighting a few issues regarding gardens and fields around the village. One issue had already been addressed by the council and was ongoing with positive reports being received from the Chairman regarding progress on the repairs to the fence at 20 Sea Lane. Cllr Pearson confirmed she would investigate the other issues relating to an overhanging hedge at 36 Sea Lane and the field behind the units on Warth Park.

2022/88   Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting

Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 8 November 2022 beginning at 7.30pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
