BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 5 JULY 2022

Public Forum

There were no items for the public forum

2022/61     Apologies

Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Peter Bedford, Boston Borough Council.

2022/62     Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.

There were no interests declared.

2022/63   Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting

It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 14 June 2022 be approved and signed by the Chairman.

2022/64   Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council 

There were no reports received.

2022/65 Issues relating to the environment of the Parish

Cllr Gosling reported that the fence at the side of the walkway between Sea Lane and Prince William Drive was falling over and was being supported by various lengths of wood and branches. The clerk confirmed that a letter would be sent requesting the issue be addressed as this was causing a problem for the contractor carrying out grounds keeping in that area.

Cllr Pearson reported that there had been a large amount of broken glass in the park recently and asked if this was an ongoing issue as she was concerned for children playing in the park and dogs getting glass in their paws when being walked in the area.  Members of the council stated that they were unaware of this happening before. 

Cllr Smith asked if it was possible to report the uneven footpath between Broughtons Lane and the Post Office again as this was still uneven and causing issues. The clerk confirmed she would ask Cllr P Skinner to chase this up and provide feedback. 

2022/66 Planning Application

B/22/0154: Land adjacent to Magnolia Lodge, Benington Road, Butterwick, PE22 0EX.

Members of the council had no objection to this application.

2022/67 Litter Picker vacancy 

The clerk confirmed that there had not been any interest in the vacancy however, Cllr Donnelly stated that his grandson would like to take the post.

It was RESOLVED that the position be given to Cllr Donnelly’s grandson and the clerk would send on a map of the area.  

2022/68   Finance

It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 07/2022.

2022/69   Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda

Members of the council stated that they had not had the opportunity to investigate where in the parish the benches would be ideally situated. This would be carried forward and added to the next agenda.

Cllr Pearson asked if the provision of a dog waste bin at the end of the public footpath on Brand End Road could be added to the agenda for discussion.

2022/70   Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting

Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 9 August 2022 beginning at 7.30pm.

There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
