BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 13 DECEMBER 2022

2022/98 Apologies
There were no apologies received.
2022/99 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2022/100 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 08 November 2022 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2022/101 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr Paul Skinner gave a verbal report to the council. Cllr Peter Bedford did not have any new information to share from the Borough Council.
2022/102 Issues relating to the environment of the Parish
Provision of a dog waste bin
The clerk confirmed she had received the costings for installation of the dog bins which were £276.01 each. The members of the council RESOLVED to have these put in place.
2022/ 103 Provision of Benches Around the Village
It was confirmed that the bench had been delivered and was currently in the Village Hall awaiting installation. It was agreed to approach local builders to obtain a price to install the bench in the car park as previously agreed.
2022/104 Parish Magazine
Cllr Peter Bedford spoke to members of the Council regarding a new parish magazine which several members of Freiston Parish Council were looking at introducing. They were wishing to know if Butterwick Parish Council would be interested in joining in funding the provision of the magazine. The members of the council discussed this and agreed to reserve any decision until further information was forthcoming.
2022/105 The Coronation of King Charles
Cllr Knowles suggested various options for celebrating the coronation however, members of the council agreed to ask parishioners if they would be interested in attending an event before making any concrete decisions on this. It was agreed to carry this item over on the agenda for the next meeting.
2022/106 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 12/2022.
2022/107 Meeting dates
It was discussed and resolved that the meeting dates would remain as the second Tuesday of the month.
2022/108 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda
Cllr Pearson reported on the levels of grit in the bins around the village and that the bin on Benington Road, opposite Pearson’s Packaging, needed replacing as it was badly damaged. The clerk confirmed she would contact Lincolnshire County Council to have them topped up and replaced where necessary.
2022/109 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 10 January 2023 beginning at 7.30pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
