2022/75 Issues relating to the environment of the Parish

The clerk confirmed that a letter had been sent to the residents of the property with the fence that was being propped up however, Cllr Gosling confirmed that nothing had been done to address the situation. The clerk confirmed she would follow up with a second letter stating the issue would be reported to Lincolnshire CC if the issue was not rectified.

The clerk had previously forwarded an email from Cllr P Skinner, Lincolnshire County Council, to all councillors stating that there were no outstanding issues on file relating to the footpath on Brand End Road. The clerk advised all councillors to report the issues on FixMyStreet whereby these problems may then be addressed.

Cllr Donnelly had raised concerns, prior to the meeting, of the fire hazard due to the hot weather on the dry weeds and grasses at the BT hub. The clerk had reported this and received a job reference however Cllr Donnelly stated that the issue had not been dealt with at that point. The clerk confirmed she would chase this up with BT and would forward their response to all councilors.

Members of the council had taken the opportunity of looking to see where in the village would be a good place to site a bench. After discussion it was RESOLVED to install the bench in the Village Hall car park an equal distance between the entrances and adjacent to the footpath. The clerk confirmed she would source a brochure and costings for the bench.
