BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 10 JANUARY 2023

There were no items for the public forum
2023/01 Apologies
Cllr Peter Bedford had given his apologies prior to the meeting.
2023/02 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2023/03 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 13 December 2022 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2023/04 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr Paul Skinner gave a verbal report to the council covering both Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire County Council.
2023/05 Issues relating to the environment of the Parish.
Provision of a dog waste bin
The clerk confirmed both dog waste bins had been installed.
2023/06 Provision of Benches Around the Village
The Chairman confirmed he would contact Ian Dickinson, the local builder, to obtain a quote to install the bench.
2023/07 The Coronation of King Charles
Due to the Christmas break some of the council members stated that they had not had the opportunity to discuss holding an event with other village residents. Cllr Knowles confirmed that he had been able to do so and he confirmed that there was to be discussions in the Five Bells public house on the evening following the meeting where ideas were welcome. Cllr Donnelly confirmed he would attend and would bring any ideas back to Council whereby it could be discussed if Butterwick Parish Council wished to be involved jointly with the Five Bells pub or to look at another option.
2023/08 Precept
The clerk presented the budget for the FY 2023/24. It was discussed and RESOVED that the precept request would remain at £30,000.
2023/09 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 01/2023.
2023/10 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
Council members discussed the upcoming cost of the streetlighting provision considering the current situation with increasing electricity costs. It was agreed the clerk should contact Boston Borough Council to obtain a quote to change all the footway lights to LED lights.
2023/11 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 14 February 2023 beginning at 7.30pm.
There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed at 8.20pm.
