MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 11 JULY 2023

There were no items for the public forum.
2023/60 Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr Dale Broughton, Boston Borough Council.
2023/61 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2023/62 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 13 June 2023 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2023/63 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Skinner gave a verbal report on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council.
Cllr P Bedford gave a verbal report on behalf of Boston Borough Council.
2023/64 Footway Lighting
The clerk confirmed that she had requested a condition report covering all the footway lighting and also that all lamp renewals were LED going forward.
The Chairman confirmed that the trees, which were identified at the previous meeting as obstructing the lights, had now been removed.
2023/65 Butterwick Park
The Chairman reported that there had been some damage caused to the railings surrounding the park which had needed to be dealt with urgently. The Chairman also provided the quotation for the repairs to the park surfacing and for painting the play equipment. He also provided a sample of the surfacing which could be used in place of the rubber surfacing which was shrinking. Members of the Council agreed that the new surfacing would provide better longevity and opted for the Fyord blue colour. Members RESOLVED to accept the quotation provided.
The clerk advised that the current insurance cover was for Public Liability only and didn’t cover accidental damage to any equipment. Members of the council requested that details for damage cover be obtained.
2023/66 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 07/2023.
2023/67 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
There were no matters for discussion or to add additionally to the agenda.
2023/68 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 8 August 2023 beginning at 7.30pm. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
