MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 8 OCTOBER 2024

There were no items for the public forum.

2024/81    Apologies
Apologies were received prior to the meeting from Cllr K Forman, Cllr P Skinner and Cllr D Broughton

2024/82    Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.

2024/83   Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 10 September 2024 be approved and signed by the Chairman. 

2024/84   Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council 
Cllr P Bedford provided a verbal report on behalf of Boston Borough Council.

2024/85   Butterwick Park 
The clerk stated that she had received confirmation from Mark Skipworth’s that the bridge was now being painted and should be installed by the end of the week.

There were no comments or observations

2024/87 Bus Provision through the village
The clerk provided a report that had been issued in respect of the request for additional bus service through the village. Lincolnshire CC stated that there was insufficient usage to continue the service after a survey was completed on the number of passengers utilising the buses throughout the day and therefore the service was discontinued at non peak times.
Cllr L Pearson asked if a request could be put forward for LCC to consider a bus stop at the junction of either Mill Lane or Homers Lane and the main A52. The clerk confirmed she would contact Lincolnshire County Council to ask if it was possible.

2024/88  Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 10/2024.

2024/89   Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
Cllr A Quickfall confirmed she would arrange and lay the Remembrance Wreath on behalf of the Council. 
Cllr C Smith asked if the meeting with the Village Hall committee chairman had gone well and the clerk confirmed that she was in the process of contacting the Secretary in order to start the application for Charity status. 

2024/90  Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 08 October 2024. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
