MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF BUTTERWICK PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 13 AUGUST 2024

2024/64 Apologies
There were no apologies received
2024/65 Receipt of any declarations of interest in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
There were no interests declared.
2024/66 Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the meeting held 9 July 2024 be approved and signed by the Chairman.
2024/67 Reports from Lincolnshire County Council and Boston Borough Council
Cllr P Skinner provided a verbal report on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council.
Cllr D Broughton also provided a verbal report on behalf of Boston Borough Council
2024/68 Butterwick Park
It was reported that the wooden footbridge into the park had been vandalised and some side boards had been removed. The Chairman confirmed that a quotation had been received from Mark Skipworth and Son to replace the footbridge framework with a metal structure at 1.2 metres high at the sides and to repair and replace the footboards at a cost of £2807.86 inclusive of VAT. Members of the council RESOLVED to accept the quotation and requested the bridge be painted to match the light blue of the play area mat covering. If this was not possible members opted for black.
2024/69 Finance
It was RESOLVED to accept the payments as per the payment sheet 08/2024.
2024/70 Matters for discussion or to be added to the next agenda.
Members of the council asked if it was possible to apply for double yellow lines around the corner at the junction of Brand End Road, Old Post Office Lane and Benington Road. Cllr P Skinner stated he would put the suggestion forward to the highways department.
2024/71 Date and Time of the next Parish Council Meeting
Date and time of the next Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 10 September 2024. There being no further business to discuss, the Chairman thanked those in attendance and declared the meeting closed.
